Mission Statement

The Monticello Parks, Arts & Recreation Department is committed to providing a variety of recreational and educational opportunities for the citizens of Monticello, as well as residents of surrounding communities. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life through the arts and recreation programs, events, and facilities we provide, while preserving and maintaining natural areas, open space, and native habitat. We will strive to provide the highest level of service to our citizens, while balancing the needs of present and future generations.

Parks, Arts & Recreation Commission (PARC)

PARC develops and reviews plans for parks and recreational facilities, develops recreation programs, reviews parkland dedications for new subdivisions, and makes recommendations to the Planning Commission and City Council.
