This summer, the City of Monticello’s Industrial and Economic Development Committee (IEDC) visited local Monticello businesses to learn more about their successes, challenges, and bright futures ahead in our community.
Over the summer, members of the City of Monticello’s Industrial and Economic Development Committee (IEDC) have been out in the community meeting with local businesses.
Joined by the members of the Economic Development Authority (EDA), City staff, and our community partners, these Business Retention & Expansion visits are all about building stronger connections. The visits are also a great opportunity to provide businesses with valuable resources, including financial programs, workforce support, expansion opportunities, and other partnerships.
However, through conversation, we also learn what’s working well for local businesses and what we can do better. Some visits highlight exciting opportunities for growth, while others reveal challenges we need to address together. This helps us to understand the full picture of Monticello’s business community and guides us in making meaningful progress for our community.
Our business community is the heart of Monticello, and these visits are one way we can invest in long-term relationships to help businesses thrive here.
Thank you to the local businesses who have participated in our recent visits. We’re proud that you're part of Monticello!
