As much as we’d like to ignore it, winter will be here before we know it! In the coming weeks, staff will be preparing our parks for winter operations. This includes:
- Blowing out irrigation throughout our public spaces.
- Turning off water hook ups in all city parks. This is for all city parks including Bertram Chain of Lakes Regional Athletic Park and Riverside Cemetery.
- Removing the basketball hoops at West Bridge Park in preparation for the outdoor skating rink.
- Closing the Community Garden on Monday, October 20.. Gardeners, please remember to clear your area so staff can till the garden for next season.
- Adding stakes along various pathway and sidewalk routes in preparation for snow removal.
- Pioneer Park bathrooms close October 5; Ellison Park bathrooms close October 20.
