The City Council held a regular meeting on Monday, February 9, 2026. Here are the highlights:
- Kid's Haven of Monticello: A new childcare facility will potentially be developed in Monticello, located along School Boulevard near the Emagine Monticello movie theatre. The site is in the process of being purchased from the City.
- CSAH 39 Preservation Project: City Council adopted a resolution to support Wright County’s pavement preservation project planned for CSAH 39 in 2026. The project includes portions which fall within city limits. Construction is anticipated to take approximately one month during the summer.
TH 25 I-94 Bridge: Construction is coming to the TH 25 bridge over I-94 in 2027. MnDOT will complete bridge redecking, surfacing, sidewalk improvements, lighting, and aesthetic enhancements. The City will assume long-term ownership and maintenance responsibilities for components of the bridge after work is completed.
