The City Council held a regular meeting on Monday, November 24. Here are the highlights:
- Get Ready to Glow: MontiArts has successfully secured a $9,000 grant from the Central Minnesota Arts Board to help fund GlowFest 2026.
- New Speed Limits: Some of Monticello’s city-owned roadways will have speed limits adjusted in the coming months. Check out the highlights for a list of changes and a map. As a reminder, the City does not have jurisdiction over Wright County or MnDOT roadways (this includes County Road 75/Broadway Street, I-94, and TH 25).
- BCOL Regional Athletic Park: Additional design services were approved to ensure the Pickleball Courts project fit seamlessly into the park’s long-term master plan. This includes parking lot integration, stormwater management, additional grading, and an updated topographical survey.
