The City Council held a regular meeting on Monday, May 12. Here are the highlights:

  • Farmers Market Season Begins: Monticello’s popular Farmers Market is back in action for the season, offering fresh produce and local handcrafted goods. The first outdoor market was this Thursday, May 15, from 3:30 – 7 p.m. in the Library Parking Lot. For more information: MonticelloMN.gov/395.
  • ACFR Recognition: The City submitted its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), continuing its commitment to transparency and excellence in financial reporting. Available online here: MonticelloMN.gov/164.
  • PEL Study Support: City Council approved a letter of support for the Highway 25 Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) study, reinforcing the City’s support of long-term regional transportation planning.
