The City Council held a regular meeting on Monday, December 8. Here are the highlights:
- Public Works Facility: City Council is seeking a cost-saving redesign of the new Public Works Facility, with updated plans expected in spring 2026.
- Final Property Tax Levy: Following updated tax base information, the City Council adopted a 7.0% combined City and HRA levy, with a higher valuation for Xcel reducing the impact on local taxpayers.
- BCOL Regional Park Agreements: The City of Monticello and Wright County have updated agreements to better define each partner’s role in managing the jointly owned regional park, ensuring a balanced approach to active and passive recreation.
